Diners rave about the genuine Italian flavors at Michelangelos. The salmone rotolato appetizer garners top praise for its fresh, delightful taste. Many can’t resist the allure of the creamy spaghetti con gamberetti e rucola, which guests often customize to their liking. The cocktails are crafted with care, featuring fresh ingredients like the mint used for their vibrant cocktails. Desserts, particularly the hot chocolate brownie, often lead to exclamations of bliss, making them a must-try. Customer service shines brightly, with friendly, attentive staff ensuring a comfortable dining experience.

Most Disliked

While most guests leave happy, a few express concerns about crowded seating during peak hours, which can slightly detract from the intimate vibe. Some diners mention pricing can fluctuate based on special menu items, which occasionally leads to confusion. Although the restaurant makes efforts to accommodate dietary restrictions, there have been instances where specific requests may not have been fully met. A small number of patrons noted the absence of certain popular dishes on specific nights, leading to disappointment. Finally, a handful of recent reviews hinted at wait times being longer than expected on busy weekends.

Me and my husband stayed in Buxton for a night, that too a very snowy one! Naturally we were craving something warm. We walked into this lovely place reluctantly a little before 9pm, hoping they weren’t near the closing time but were pleasantly greeted by Lauren and quickly seated. It was a very cozy place with the best ambiance! Lauren took us order and helped us pick the dishes to our liking. We ordered Salmone Rotolato as our appetiser and it were the most amazing thing we had tasted in quite a long while. For our main course I ordered Spaghetti Con Gamberetti e Rucola (they kindly agreed to make it extra creamy) and My husband ordered a pizza with toppings of his liking (prawn and tuna). Both were outstanding! After quite a long time we enjoyed a dinner this scrumptious. By the time we were finishing up with our main course we noticed that we were the only ones sitting. Both Lauren and Rhys were super efficient and really good at their work, and didn’t get the teensy bit fidgety about us finishing quickly. Infact, after we were done with our mains, Rhys very kindly offered to bring us dessert: Caramel Cheese cake! Which was heavenly! (To say the least) At the end the chef came out to greet us goodnight. Overall it was an outstanding experience and would recommend this eatery 10/10 to everyone visiting Buxton!

Food was delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. Service was remarkably fast. Atmosphere was so incredibly warm and cosy. As soon as I walked in I could smell how delicious the food was going to be. The whole atmosphere makes you forget the cold outside and whatever else that might be going on, it was just fantastic. I nearly forgot to take a picture of the hot chocolate brownie that my mum and I shared. The toilets are clean and have baby changing tables. Not sure about wheelchair acces but I am certain that if you ask somebody they will do there best to accomodate you. Food allergies and intollerances are taken seriously here.
